Early Season 2021

2021 November season is just about done.  Played out pretty much like November always does.  A few stupefyingly slow days mixed in with some really fun warm weather shoots.

Over the decades, I’ve gained a pretty good idea of which guides and areas should produce and which areas don’t. I was right. By shunting our clients to the more productive areas we’ve managed to score a pretty successful early season. We should end the first 3 week season having taken around 200 fowl.  Of those 200, most all were good big ducks.  Very few filler ducks (buffs, mergansers, scoters). I think we’re at 14 species to date.

Demand is through the roof this year and our entire guide service is very close to being totally booked. With Covid still prevalent though, I anticipate there being cancellations during the season. So, if you want to hunt and aren’t on the book yet, give us a call and we’ll put you on our list of people to call to fill in any availability that may open up,

There are a lot of fowl down here already. Refuges are lush so that easy food needs to be eaten up before the birds start coming out with any regularity. The natural food is also in excellent shape this year so I think we should hold the birds in the area really well all season. Throw in some nasty weather and it should be another really good waterfowl season.
